ROOM SPRAYS – What are they really?
It has become a trend these days to ‘beautify’ the house or a work area with room sprays. Yes, most of us would agree with the concept of ‘improving’ the odour of the household, work space or bathroom. The question arises though of what actually goes into most of the supermarkets fragrance sprays? Hmmm.
Just the word ‘fragrance’ itself puts me on alert for the search of nasty, artificial chemicals that are put together to create the unnatural chemical mixture we breathe in and get on our skin! The smell is often artificial and it might cause headaches and/or nausea. In a small, confined environment like most toilets are, avoiding contact with those ‘nasties’ after spraying them around is not possible.
The use of different odour improving ‘remedies’ goes back probably to the ‘cavemen era’. Smudging herbal sticks used to be a common practice. Later different plants were planted around the house or hanged on the walls.
With aromatherapy at hand these days why don’t we just use the natural therapeutic alternative?
Using essential oils, that are highly concentrated plant extracts is a great idea that is better for you family’s and your own wellbeing.
You can make your own room spray simply by blending different essential oils and some natural solubiliser, which diffuses the oils into the water.
If however you want to save time and don’t feel like playing with aromatherapy, just order any of my room sprays.
Ela’s Oils room sprays are a perfect way to naturally refresh, cleanse and beautify your home environment. The essential oils are blended into purified water with a touch of natural oil solubiliser to ensure smooth and even distribution of aroma into the air.
